Swim Team Cake

Hello all!

My faithful friend who always has me do cakes for her family requested a swim team themed cake and sent me a link of Sweets by Monica's beautiful cake. I changed it up to match the Greenville Swim Team's swimming cap and my friend's last name "Ice." It was a delicious chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and marshmallow fondant. I will have to give a tutorial on marshmallow fondant. It's so easy and it tastes better than the boxed stuff from the craft stores.
I was so worried delivering this cake because I had to deliver it 2 hours away, I was praying it wasn't going to take a dive 😉🏊🏼 But we made it safely with no injury to the cake! Don't you love when things work out? Here it is!

Blog Launch!

YAY!! There is officially a facebook page and blog for Sweet Love Cakes! I can't help but be filled with excitement and anxiety. This blog will be for all recipes, cakes, and experiences that come as I walk through this journey of starting an in-home bakery. Maybe one day it will grow to something more than that, maybe not. Either way it's going to be fun, hard, tiring, hilarious, and most of all delicious (hopefully) ;)
I hope you enjoy experiencing pieces of my journey as I share them here. I will share recipes and any advice I can about my journey. So get ready and here...we..go!
